Whoa, Baby! Announcing Number Five

family-baby-announcement

Friends, we are excited to share that we will be welcoming our fifth baby into our family at the end of January 2018.  Our Baby Cinco is the unexpected miracle that has captured our hearts and will officially bring our mini-van to maximum capacity.

If there is anything that I have learned about life and motherhood, it is that love has an infinite capacity for growth, and we are grateful for the gift of another life to love in our family.

As thankful as we are for this precious life, I will be the first to admit that it has not been an easy path. But it is part of our journey that is shaping our life experiences, and I am looking forward to sharing more about this within this space.

In whatever manner that one becomes a parent, it is not without challenges and changes - whether it is your first child or tenth -  and we are embracing all this season of life brings - the crazy, the messiness, the joy, the questions, the wonderment of it all.

Our kiddos are excited about their new baby brother or sister and have asked me constantly, “When is the baby coming?”, poking my growing belly and questioning, “Is there REALLY a baby in  your tummy?”

So far among our kids, we have one vote for a sister, one vote for a brother, and two undecided (or too little to care).  However, we have decided to wait to find out the gender, so it will be a surprise for all of us.

We understand that adding another sibling will undoubtedly change our family dynamics, but I’m praying for their little hearts as they prepare to make room for this new life.

For now, we are grateful for the support and love of our family and friends, for the outpouring of kindness and prayers, and for the celebration of this new life.  Thank you for sharing in our journey and in our joy.  Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for being part of our community.
